Im about to start setting up my TL.... I bought some connectors called PED connectors. They look the same as the weather pack connectors but come with male and female prongs to tie wires to then the connector slips over. Any one used these? Are they as reliable as the weather pack connectors?

Also what could I use to fill the area where the wires go in to the connector to make 100% sure it is sealed... I was contemplating epoxy :scratchchin:

They most likely are weather pack connectors and you have to use the wire seals that match the gauge wiring you're using.

Or if you mean from the back of the connector where the wire leaves the plug portion, you could always seal it with either silicone or liquid electrical tape. Starbrite and OMC make it and it's not expensive.

I am using the wire seals, I was referring to filling the back of the connector for extra precautions because I have ran into electrical issues like that before and intend on avoiding them this time around.

I thought that silicone was not a good thing to seal electrical components with.... I thought I read something about that in the past but I could be mistaken.

What about 5200?

I've also used heat shrink to seal connectors too. Put about a 1/4" of the tubing over top of the connector and about 1" onto the wiring...heat it up and let it seal the connector. After shrinking it to the wires, as it's still hot crimp it with needle nose pliers. When it cools it will seal to it's self and wraps nicely around the wiring. Just don't squeeze the wires to the point of pinching them. It only takes a small amount of squeeze to work.
