I have been using my bilge perfectly (rule 500) in freshwater for weeks. I went surf riding for the first time a couple days ago and for some reason the bilge dosent turn off. It is one of those cheap universal switches. Is my problem the switch or something else? I have a very leaky scupper so saltwater definitely went in the engine bay. I also have a ”tidy bilge” setup in the e-box itself, not sure if that matters.

Saltwater is extremely conductive...so if water got in it, then it’s just bridging the two wires together

I mean the switch. That’s most likely what it is if it’s a junk switch.
