I've been prepping my ski for paint, and after removing the turf from the side rails I noticed some gaps between the top deck and hull, Here is a picture, should this be filled, and if so with what???

Also I have a few small chips, what is recommended to fill these??

I think everyone will have some gaps between their top deck and hull. Mine was mostly filled, with only a few small spots or holes. I filled the deeper holes with 5200. If you are going to fill it, I would definitely use something that's flexible.

think of 5200 as silicone on steroids. I'm talking you could probably glue your upper and lower caps together permanently with it if you needed to.

Cool, I was at home depot, getting more damn sand paper, and stopped by the adhesives, just to see if by chance they would have anything, and sure enough, they had 3m 5200 epoxy for marine applications.
Thanks for the tip

It's not epoxy. It's a flexible adhesive that is very strong.
