Super Jet Running rich. What are your thoughts on carb settings?

I want to know your opinions on my carb settings. The picture below is what it spits out after a ride. It runs good, but started to foul the plugs after 15 gallons or so. I obviously do not want to run it lean!!

Oil: maxima super m (50:1)
130 Main
75 Pilot
95g spring
High Speed are out 1.25 turns
Low speeds out 1.5 turns.

Just try an eighth turn in and ride it for a min, look at the plugs and assess how it improves or not and keep at it. The plugs are usually chocolate brown when tuned right, that's what I do

I have not been able to try anything yet. But here is a picture of the plugs. They were brand new, this photo is after about 10-15 gallons ran through the ski. Let me know what you think about them. I will be making adjustments on the 4th or 5th. Thanks!IMAG3324.jpg

That looks a little rich and are you running the correct plug for the Ada head? Looks like a lot of thread is exposed to the chamber....

Help anyone? It doesn't want to start unless u hold the throttle wide open. You can spray starting fluid right into the cylinder and it won't fire once. But if you hold the throttle open it will start, after good bit of cranking...

pretty much same mods as you
i cant remember but my high and low screws are around 1 turn out.the rear carb is a little more. i just did trial and error. in about 1/8 turn increments. its fully dialed now. runs perfect. just buy a box of plugs and go out to the lake

I put new spark plugs in. Then checked the spark and fuel filters. It ran fine for a couple hours, then started to crank over slower and slower. and then would not crank at all. Towed it in and put the battery tender on it. Next day it fired right up first time. What I am wondering about is how a SJ charges the battery. I know some cars will run without a battery and some won't. Should I be able to start it and un hook the battery, and it stay running? I don't understand why it wouldn't have kept it charged up while I was riding... :/

basic cdi system. not super efficient. don't count on a low battery being charged by riding the ski.

charge it when you're not riding with a tender to help the battery last as long as possible.
