So I bought a new rrp pole bolt and went to thread it into the bracket and it threaded a half a thread and stuck wouldn't budge so pulled it back out and had a stock pole bolt laying around put that in the bracket and threaded in no problem so sitting there saying wtf tried the rrp bolt again and same thing stuck so sitting there stumped I grab the nut from the rrp bolt and thread it on the stock bolt no problem so obviously they are the same thread I grab a socket and start to put a little pressure it starts to thread and squeaking alot and stuck so take it back out and all the anodizing is off the bolt so clean it and put grease on threads and thread it in it goes farther so start doing it slowly well I get the bolt threaded half way it sticks and I cant get it out no matter what I do so I drill mounting holes into my work bench and mount ir just the bracket to bench with bolt stuck in it no pole was mounted at all just plain bracket and bolt well I start trying to get the bolt out and bam it snapped the bolt anyone ever have this issue with rrp pole bolts?

sounds like the tolerance was off after anodize (adds 0.001+/-) also ano on ano makes for a squeaky situation, we have issues with this in my shop. you could have cleaned the threads on a wire wheel, but too late for that! fwiw i put anti steez on my rrp bolt when i installed it and had no issues.

When I recently installed an RRP pole, the RRP bolt would only thread in while the bracket was still loosely assembled. I threaded the bolt in by hand, tightened all the bolts that hold the bracket together, then installed in the boat and tightened the pole bolt. Not sure if the bracket I used was slightly out of alignment or what... Plenty of anti-seize all around too.

Probably galled up on first time in. Should have used anti seize before first time in, but shouldnt have happened anyway. We will get it warranteed for you or you can upgrade the CF SS bolt also in stock.
