Super Jet routine maintenance, what to do?

Sorry for the newb question but what routine maintenance do I need to do to my ski after I ride? Like with my dirt bike I have to change oil, clean airfilter, wash the bike off, clean and oil the chain, ect... But I'm not sure what to do on my ski? Thanks for the help!!!

Well I like to keep it from breaking the best I can. Breakages can get expensive!!! Haha But I mean do I need to wash it off, dry it out, anything I need to grease or lube, anything?

Search for your user manual on the manufacturer's website. It'll give you all the dirty details with pics and stuff.

Keep the hood off during storage for more than a day.
Fog the motor
Change the spark plugs at least once a year
Put grease in the midshaft once a season
Check the grease in the pump every couple of years.
Lube throttle and steering cable.

well there isnt much "short period" maintenance to do.
more long time maintenance.

if you think about it what do you have on your dirtbike thats not on your jetski. it´s alot. and there is alot of maintenance on that stuff.


the things that wear.
Engine, midshaft housing(bearings/seals), jet pump (seals, bearings, wearring/impeller.)

alot of other thing needs replacing but they are usualy not worth replacing before they break. engine mounts for example.

Well I couldn't really think of anything to do maintenance wise and I just felt like I was neglecting my ski!! Haha but I guess you just don't have to do much!! just ride!!! Yeee haaww!!! Hahaha

looks like you are in fresh water, not much to do except what has been said.

Corrosion is the biggest problem. Do a lengthy dry run and store with the hood propped up slightly. This will get you to the point in 2-3 years where the ski needs a lot of work (that nobody ever does). Doesnt really matter considering that new guys only last a season or two.

Well I'm not affraid of motor work, glassing, and taking every last nut and bolt off this thing, do it to my dirt bike more than it needs, I'm a maintenance freak!!! Hahaha
Yeah I'll be around atleast a season or two.
