Ok, After riding a roundnose yesterday I am getting the itch to get a superjet. I love my SX-R but I like the way you can flip around the jet. I am debating selling my X-2 towards one. My question to all of you is Round or Square????

IMO, if you get a square ,you'll just wind up getting a round in the future! So , cut the chase and go ahead and just get a round!!

I love my square but if I were doing it all over again I would just opt for the round right away. I will keep my square because I have done so much to it. You can taylor the ski to you're likes anyway. my 2 cents good luck.

the bottom half of the hulls are the same.

I hear that a lot but I think there almost has to be some minor differences. I always feel a little different rideablility when I jump on a round.

Rounds are great cause they are newer and you'll have less issues replacing the wear and tear parts. But squares are great when your on a budget. But you're gonna want a roundie eventually.

yea the center of gravity changed with the rounds i think.

I dont think its that. Everything inside is basically the same. Its just the pole mount is higher. They still feel different with a lowered bracket...

yeah, I compaired darins ski to mine when we had them on the trailer together and the pole mount is quite a bit differant. The square is already lowered and the round requires a little work. hood and pole mount. The round pole itself is awsome, I put a stock round pole on my square with a custom bracket from legdreg. works awsome. I will get some pics soon.

Yup, all that's the same. Benefits? More aftermarket parts for the top half. Stronger top deck.

So if the bottoms are the same, Are the pumps, plate, and grate the same. If so what is the benefit of getting a roundnose?

round looks better in most peoples opinion. also much more aftermarket products (body wise)

all the stuff you listed are interchangeable, there are some differences but not much.

Thanks for the input guys. It is all very helphull. I have axcess to a 760 complete with electronics. Is it worth it to put that in what I get or stay with a 701 and work that?

I am a big fan of the squares but the older roundnose skis are down to about 2k now so I would opt for a round. I love my squarenose but it is just a matter of parts availablity. For some reason I like the way squares feel over the rounds.......haven't quite fiqured out why though.
