round nose pole on square nose conversion?

hey guys im new to the forums and superjets, i have a 91 square that had a stock pole that i broke, checked out some threads with rn poles n i see n read about the bracket modifications but what about the turn plate, and bars? can i use my sn parts or do i have to buy rn parts??? sorry for the rethread on this subject i couldnt find exact parts list of what i need.. thanks again for the help!

turn plate and bars will work, i had to hack the out of the rn ac pole to work with sn bracket, final result is awesome. see my album

Really easy ! Go with the rn pole. Dont forget to shorten!

Everything will swap over. The only problem that I found is that the SN steering cable is a little longer up by the turn plate area and it will cause the steering to bottom out. This makes the cable up by the threads get bent. I just modded mine so I wouldnt break it and it seems to be working.

if ur goin to a rn pole it prob would be easy to find all the rn stock harware on here. all you really need is a turnplate. goodluck

Here is a picture showing the mods I made to my pole to make it fit the SN bracket and keep the hood hooks in the stock location.

stock SN steering on RN pole:

Trimmed plastic cover to fit in the hood channel. The plastic piece covers the end of the pole you have to trim off:

Digging this up from the past, just wanted to say thanks JustinB for the pics, I was having a hard time finding out if the Round Nose Pole would fit the Square Nose Bracket. Awsome.

Does anyone know, will a Squarenose chinpad fit a Roundnose pole?
