Round nose pole on a squarenose

I'm putting together a '95 squarenose and still need a handle pole, as my stock one is cracked pretty bad. I though I might go another direction.

Has anyone installed a round nose handle pole and braket on a square nose superjet? If so, how did you like it? Pros/Cons?

Thanks...

I've ridden sjweber's and it's very nice, much lighter than stock, shorter (he shortened it like mine) and looks nice too.

Cool. Thanks for the feedback. I think I am going to go that way with it. I never really cared for the square nose handle pole. I think I throw an aluminum round nose pole and bracket on it.

Thanks again Bro.

I did the conversion with a stock height UMI bracket. If you use a bracket that stops the pole from extending you will find that the pole won't go up as high because the mounting area on the Squares is slanted. I just put a limiting strap on mine so that it wouldn't bust the pole.

Cool. Good to know. One more thing, how to you adjust the hood hooks since they are in different positions on the squarenose and roundnose?

I ended up using round nose hooks instead.

no spring here. it work just like the x metal pivot bolts. you have two nuts on each bolt that you tighten. you can let go of pole and it will stay where you leave it. it works on tension. search pete jacobs on pwctoday he still has them for sale.i was going to make one.for less then two bills its not worth my time. i just payed for a stock round nose pole should be early next week. im chopping it two inches.adding a blowsion limited rope and a new set of umi 0 degreebars and umi throttle. ill post pics as soon as i get the pole.
