First a rod bearing gave out on my crank and destroyed my top end. Either a needle bearing made its way up the cylinder or there was a ghastly air leak somewhere. So I spent the next 2 weeks of perfect weather out of commission doing a full rebuild. Finally get back on the water and just after I finished breaking her in, the next ride out one of the stator-to-cases screws decided to come loose and demolished my flywheel. Doh!!
Good thing I had backups laying around. Replaced stator and flywheel and she's back in business again. This time I went over everything probably a million times before taking it out again lol Did a leak down test while motor was out and that thing is freakin sealed like a mofo! Fingers crossed it holds up for good now.
