I'm doing the same hull mods on my ski as we speak (rockering the nose) I was going chop 3inches off the back...but after reading what jays333 said about the bottom dropping out from under you. I'm not so sure I want to do that now. I'm 5'8 and 160lbs wet. I also live on the gulf coast were the sandbars and shallow waters everywhere. I have removed the seat, and made a carbon fiber cover for the battery box to shave weight. I've D cut the factory ride plate, and also installed a raider 701 water box. Which seems to the best thing I've done yet besides prop and pipe. However, I'm always looking for ways to loosen up the ski or make lighter. What do you guys think I should do? Chop the back or leave it? Oh Weso...don't flat deck your ski...you'll feel naked.
