alright i really dont like the SN handlepoles because of how bulky they are but i Really like the RN ones especially the UMI and AC ones
is there a way to get one on my SN?
i was thinking just put some shims in between if the holes for the bolt are the same.
thanks

it might take a little more than that, the square mount is wider by a bunch and it will really stress the hull unless you reinforce it somehow. not saying it won't work just saying it needs some extra work to make it good enough.

using a SN bracket with a round pole works perfect, dont let anyone tell you different, either thick wide washer or getting something made to fill the void works perfect. Use the two bolt setup with locking nuts is the tricks. Get it really tight and it should hold plenty of rides. You may have to retighen through out the season but most do anyways. I can get some pics of my setup if you want.

won't the pole rub if you just shim the pole using the SN bracket? I had one from Pete Jacobs and it worked awesome and looked great. I've seen the RN bracket on the square before and it flexes like a mofo.

I don't think pete makes them anymore...I messaged him last year about them and he had no plans of making more. but goose from the boards has made a few nice ones, and I believe will fab some more up if there is demand. Give him a shout and see what he says.

Forgot to add, I did some grinding to the pole first to make it go up farther, then I realized why not grind the bracket and that is all you need to do. Just make the area in between the ears on the bracket flat, and then paint with appliance epoxy black. I tried it on another ski already, and we ground down just enough where it wont go past 90 degrees, but we are still using a limiting rope like everyone should. Also, I cut the hood hooks so they only attatch with one bolt, and did just a bit of bending, they arent the most bullet proof but those with two hood straps in mostly flatwater wont be a problem.
