Super Jet rn start/stop switch

i need a start/stop switch for superjet. it kind of funny i took the ebox out and im getting 12 volts from the switch but its not working. if i jump it it work fine so i know its not the relay or selinoid. am i better of buying a new one, or is a used one ok. im going to hook up another swich off of a buddys ski tommorow to check but im pretty sure that its bad. let me know if you have one please. thanks shannon

buy new. your used one just broke. no telling when someone's else used one may go out. last new one i got was 92 bucks i think.

You can order just the oem switches and wire (no housing) for them. My local dealer beat the cheapest price I found online. I paid a little over 100 for it.

well just hooked up another known working switch and thats not the problem. ok heres the deal. 2001 rn 701. its been fine, i ride the lake usually 1-2 times a week. went to pismo last weekend. it kept shuting off but starting right back up. then went away and was fine. came home flushed it good and now been sitting for a week. went to start yesterday and nothing. checked an known working switch and still nothing. pulled out the ebox and full of water. (great). were do i go now?

make sure connections r clean, have u checked the starter by itself, when u put ebox back together make sure both sides of rubber gasket r coated with greese will help keep water out.

ok connections are clean. i can jump the switch and the thing will start so?????? not sure if it could be a bad relay or the coil.

yep, put your lanyard in and jump the start switch. If it still dows not crank your can jump the "big" terminals on the relay, if it still does not start, you may have a bad ground, power wire or starter.


Do you even get a "click" in the ebox when you press start?

yes on good battery. the starter is fine because it works when i jump the relay. also what do you guys use to clean out corrosion. kinda salty also.

i used to have a problem simular to your yours and it was almost always the same. the 2 plugs where your ignition switch plugs into ebox. I used to hook theme up and let them click. then i had to pull theme apart. but still connected why i havent a clue.b sure to use die electric greese on all connections.

It's EW2-68311-01-00 it's a SN part but I imagine the RN is the exact same. Oh and i looked again and I only paid like 70 for it.
