RN pole fit on a FX-1

Will a RN pole that is cut down 2-4" fit on a FX-1 with out any modifications? Might purchase one, so need to know for sure.

You might have mucho trouble with the steering cable.
The poles are identical except for the top cast piece. FX1 top piece is shorter, as are both end pieces of the steering cable. That means you can't just go using a roundnose cable.
I am using a FX1 pole on a Squarenose. I am using an FX1 cable, too - I just made it longer on the pump end.

You might get away with shortening both ends of the steering cable.

If you want to get back some nozzle throw, you can modify the FX handlepole end to accept the RN cable. Use a cable retention clip from a sitdown (like a LX or waverunner) and move the attach point forward. The cable doesn't bottom out on stops. (All this is assuming that you are running a SJ pump also).
