Super Jet RN Complete Rebuild on LI

Got bored and built a stand for it over the weekend. $100 in parts including the casters and I think it came out pretty good, perfect for rolling it around the shop or into my truck or trailer.

And I made a custom flush kit to back flow the water to the pissers. Total cost was around $15, much better than 50 plus people sell these for.......

What's the advantage of pushing water though the pissers? I have seen that flush kit before but never understood it. Ski looks amazing by the way, nice job.

I guess the advantage is that it flushes everything out completely, plus its much neater than having a bunch of ts under the hood. I don't know for sure but I was told it was the best way to do it lol. Thanks for the kind words......

Ran into a problem with the ski running away. I ended up pulling the motor out and pressure testing it. It held 12 PSI for 10 mins no problem. Ran new fuel line and it still ran away. I ran the motor out of the ski with my friends 38s bolted to it and it no longer runs away. I guess somewhere my carbs are cause air to get in, I am going to do a rebuild on them and go from there.

I have new needle and seats as well as orings for my high and low speed adjusters coming in TM to try and finally solve my lean issue. If I can't get it right still then I will have to figure something else out. But the good news is that I got my blowsion hood kit today. Then of course the bad news :)-):):):)ty week for my SJ it seems) is that the hardware they gave me with the kit is crap. The nuts do not thread on the studs for the bracket nicely at all, so I am going to get some nicer stuff from the local store tm and install it. At least I have a few new pics of the hood and hull, few more BS things to sort out and I will be able to ride. Wish me luck.

Thanks a lot. Well thats funny you ask because me and friend both thought the same thing. I bought it new from factory pipe that way only like 2 months ago and it def has a dif look than others I have seen. I guess its a new finish?

I bought mine last year and it has the same finish. Do you have any pictures of the jk hood with the stock handlepole yet? Im thinking about getting one. I really like the look of the jk hood though. Im afraid if I pay the extra $250 to get it painted ill end up waiting a long time for it!

I just put the pole on TN, so I will get pics soon. As far as the wait mine took about 4 weeks to my door, in white gelcoat..... I think it looks great with the stock pole as well.

awesome thanks. I saw pics of the wamiltons iv lowered hood with a stock handlepole and it was bad looking. I have a feeling the JK is much better match. I have no desire to go aftermarket handlepole unless I need to. Probably after I get everything tuned in and running i'll order one. Your ski is coming out awesome, I hope to see you out there soon

Yeah the JK hood looks basically stock but lower, which is nice..... Ill run out now and grab a pic for you. Yeah I finally got the lean issue solved with the 2.0 needle and seats so it should be done soon. I was out on my GPR Monday and its still cold, hopfully it warms up soon.

Ok here are some more pics, note I did not put any hardware on the hood yet it is just placed on the hull and there is no seal there yet so it may not line up 100 percent but you get the idea. Also I had to strap it down for it to lower near the hood because I just put a new light pole spring in today as well and it sits high. Also it does sit flush with the hood tuck in between but I have no pad there yet and didn't want to scratch the hood but here you go.....
