Found a 2000 SJ Round Nose lying abandond on a resort beach here in the Caribbean a few weeks ago. Managed to track down the owner and gave him $200 for it. I noticed it had a lot of after market parts on it but the motor was locked up. I then got hold of a 2003 Waverunner with a sweet motor for $1000 which I rode around while I got my SJ painted for $300 using alwgrip. Got the ski back together after servicing and painting everything. I changed one piston (could only find one on the island...) and new rings. I now have a great stock SJ and managed to get 43mph on a short straight with no effort.
