They have a wave in france that travels up river... I was talking to Pierre Maxent about it when we were in cali... The river faces N. west and the huge tidal fluctuations there cause massive tidal waves.. He says he can just ride up river and backflip continuously on whatever wave he wants too... It's sounds sooooo freaking cool!!!!

The tides there are so huge too... like 15ft or something like that

can you picture waist high waves for 15 miles??? You can ride for as long as you want....

The amazon's got that in Brazil. Seems like it's getting to be a popular surf spot.
Anyways, cool.

I wish the Columbia did that.

Indeed. At low tide, certain coastal regions of Germany have literally miles and miles of ocean floor exposed.

Closest thing we have is Deception Pass, where giant whirlpools of spinning water could swallow us up! For real.

they actually do ...
but is one time in the year !

the amazon river is the biggest river in the world (by vol of water)
when he meets the river called sao fransico in some time in the year they get waves like 6'/8' and they last like hours ...

but looks like france has a better break ...by the pic you post
