RIVA head O-ring install question

What is the green stuff in the tube for? It comes with a new o-ring kit. I bought a used head and a new o-ring kit. I'm ready to install it but I don't know what the green stuff is for. I figured it is a sealant of some kind.

it is grease. you want to coat all the o rings with it before installing.

Every o-ring? Does that include the red stuff that seals the hourglass groove on the inside and bottom of the head? BTW, doesn't it suck not being in Daytona?

yes, every o ring should be greased. especially the red one. the grease helps it stay in place when installing and the red one is the one that always wants to fall out or get pinched during install. they dont give you much grease with the kit. just use any grease and do a LIGHT coat. just put the grease on your fingers and 'run' the o rings through your finger tips.

Thanks for the help! It sucks that the whole ski raffle thing didn't work out, and that it kept you from the freeride. That ski is kinda infamous now. Are you gonna raffle it in Texas?
