Rius' first World Championship(out of 15) 1993 IJSBA World Finals

Ive had a ski on Craigslist for 2 months now. Well I got a email from someone named Nicolas. When I called him, he had a french accent. So who else lives in Havasu named Nicolas that is French?

Well he came over and it was Nicolas Rius. He bought the ski from me and had to go home to get his truck and a trailer. While he was gone I started digging through my large box of old ski mags..

When he came back he autographed a March 94 Splash I had with him on the cover winning his first World Championship here in Havasu at the 1993 World Finals at the age of 20. He also wanted to know if i would sell the magazine...lol I said sorry, but told him I would look through my box of old mags and see if I have more.

Anyways, thought I would share.

Awesome, just don't tell him I threw away that magazine during our move. I had a huge box of old Splash/WW/PWI from the early 90's that I tossed on the last day of moving. That one was in there right on top.

Not an idiot. Remodeling a old house and moving on a deadline is hard and stressful. I hate they just got tossed to, but I understand.

Trust me, I wanted to take them with me but after realizing I hadn't seen them since we moved in 2005 and the new place's garage was full already, they went in the recycling. I did keep my '96 and '97 WF programs, they're in perfect condition and have some cool profiles of some of the stars of the time.
