Super Jet riser bars and chin pad

for those of you running riser bars, do you have to modify your chin pad? seems like it would get in the way if you have a short steering system.

after thinking about the geometry a little more, i think i have answered my own question...

Yea with both my Xscream pole and my RRP I had to trim the pole pad in order to get clearance for bars and cables. Just use a flapper disc on a hand grinder and sand off the edges till your clear. I did this on the Xscream pad and on a carbon pad from TOBY.

I had to do it for straight bars. Why should riser bars be any different?

i wasnt aware, my RN had stright bars and a aftermarket chin pad when purchased.

Raiser bars, CF short steering, oem chin pad. No cutting was needed!

RRP straight bars, RRP fat bar steering, RRP XFS chinpad. No cutting was needed!

Bought a first gen Wamilton RRP chin pad for my billet RRP pole and riser bars and I'm going to have to cut the $h!t out of it.
