Wow.....big name in the Wakeboard family. Sad to hear it.

you mean Waterski Family period. WOW. World Team Comp was by far one of the best all around slalom ski's to be produced. I remember in the early 80's when I first saw them, and then got to ski on them. Could not get my dad to buy one for us!!!!!!!!!

My best friends dad, uncle, and Herb started making water skis in a garage in Seattle.
First they started O'Brien. When they got busted importing cocaine from Columbia instead of wood for ski cores Herb and my friends uncle went to prison and they sold/lost O'Brien.

Herb got out of prison and started H.O. right down the street from the original O'Brien factory.

H.O. owns hyperlite wakeboards which were the best boards for a while.

My best friends dad died from brain cancer our junior year in high school. When my friend dropped out of high school Herb moved him to Seattle and put him to work maintaining the HO factory.

Thats where he started learning construction and when he moved back to Tx and started a construction company he's been successful ever since.

Herb was a very loyal friend to my friends family and the world has lost another pioneer.
