What do you guys think the best rideplate for flatwater freestyle besides the stock with a d-cut which i have.

I prefer a smoothed finished short plate for flatwater to make the rear of the ski a little loose. If riding in the surf I think a plate with grooves/ribs in it would be more benificial b/c it should hook the ski up a little better in the turns and white wash

that component in not for the average joe ski/rider...
just run a carbon fiber freestyle plate from any aftermarket company and you will be good

As for the plate stock d cut gets my votecheck out the rideplates the www.watercraftfactory.com makes.

sorry, I did not mean to imply you could not ride... My point is that plate is for a ski that is highly modded.

FWIW - I've tried many different ride plates on my RN SJ and really like the Jet-Dynamics short plate(believe its the "D" plate). Its the best all around plate I have found.
One ride plate may not be right for another rider because of weight, height, arm length, pole length, foothold brand/placement, etc. You just gotta experiment with various ones and lengths IMO.
