Ride Plate Question

Seems like there are a lot of these threads lately...

Long story short, picked up an 03 superjet last winter. Hull was cracked at the back corner. Defoamed it, reinforced the rear of the hull, refoamed, installed footholds etc. Ski came with a worx intake grate and ride plate. Intake grate looks like the 205 but I'm not totally sure. Ride plate looks like an older worx that became the new shorter 308. I'm a lighter rider 165 lbs, and I'm getting quite a bit of porpoising, even far up in the tray. I finally rode my buddies 08+ for comparison and it hooks up great with no issues (stock plate and intake). Wear ring and impeller are in great shape, impeller looks new. I'm thinking about shimming the rear but wanted to get every ones opinion on the condition of the current ride plate. Do the worx plates bend up like this, or should I attempt to bend it back? Or just get a new plate?

Put a few washers (stainless) on the rear bolts between the plate and hull. That will drop the rear of the plate down. You may have to put a couple on each side to get the correct angle after riding it.
Old skool, but will work for a quick and easy fix.

*There may be other factors that are making the ski porpoise, such as rider position, length of pole, your weight and height.

Yeah, I have played around a lot with rider position. I was fine on the new 08+ hull (I know they are different).
I picked up some nice large fender washers to throw on the rear bolts of the tray. I'll try that and report back but wanted everyones opinion on the plate itself.

Thanks!

The plate looks collapsed at the rear...I had one and it was Flat it seemed

My ski proposed a lot too, thought it might be the scope grate pulling the ski down until buoyancy exceeded it and the process started over again.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Might grab a stock plate from one of the FB groups cheap. The intake grate doesn't look like the aggressive worx one, but it could be contributing.

Quick update: got a stock plate on with two nice fender washers spacing the back down a bit. It rides flat now when you want it to, but is still plenty playful. I can get low and get weight balanced and really load up the pump and rip. It's definitely more rideable now and I'm loving this ski
