I'm looking to cut back my ski similiar to how MattNZ has done here: http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/128923-Matts-first-ski-96-Superjet-build thus eliminating the two rear ride plate holes on my '04 RN.

Without being able to compare all three generations of SJ's, can someone confirm my understanding on the ride plate bolt layout between each superjet?

If I make the change, will I need to revert to a '90 to '95, '08 to current ride plate?

1990-1995 - Six hole plate
1996-2007 - Four hole plate, but has bosses to drill the extra two holes
2008-present - Same six hole plate as 1990-1995

How you do that is up to you. When I cut my SJ back two inches, I moved the rear two inserts to the 1990-95/2008-present middle location for ease of use.

Thanks Matt. On a side note, seeing how my ski season is quickly coming up, would it be safe for me to assume I could do a tray refoam and 2.5" hull shortening is a 2-3 weekend kind of thing so long as I have all the supplies?

My work pretty much forces me to be a weekend warrior only, and this will be my first build of this type, so my understanding of build duration is a bit lacking.
