actually there is a mag just like this...one issue so far but it is brand new and the guy putting it together is super, super nice...nice slick, page layout, racing and freeride articles...things pertinent to what we want to see...

What does this have to do with us? its Australian. I am always disappointed with the ski mags as they have very little if any standup coverage. and I wish that freeriding was a wee bit bigger, but isn't it about the advertisers? if there were money to made from our sport by the peeps who would advertise it would be on the bookstands right? its just a case of it being too small to attract that much money right now.

I wish I knew jack about it and could take pics and write articles, but even if I could who would advertise for it? and how many peeps would buy it? a few hundred? thats barely worthy of a newsletter.

maybe whoever is local to the event could do a writeup and if Mr Chris or Mr Ronny or anyone else who has some skills and could get it done would care to provide pics- we could start an online mag and post it here. cause I for one would be drooling at the chance to tour some of the manufacturers facilities. and who doesn't enjoy attending any of our events?

I know its preaching to the choir- cause most of you have been there and done that. but there are always some newbies. and hwo cool would it be to be the focus of an article? there could be some how to's for engine builds, freestyle tricks, product tours, parts comparisons, all the latest news on whats becomeing availabel... and maybe if it takes off here it willl draw more in and actually becoming a full blown mag as the sport grows?

ah who am I kidding there is another thing I'll never do.......

seriously- I volunteer to cover the next event/ride/whatever near me. in clearwater, FL. anyone think its worth doing? any others willing to write up something for their event. we already pretty much do it now in the ride thread, its just adding pics and going a little deeper into the whos and whats. All that is left is to add some more features and collect them all in one thread . there is almost always some group ride going on or just around the corner. Hell if I could I would love to travel the south and cover the ride groups and do an article on each one. there is no reason I can't cover mine and each group could do theirs and we could try to get the word out that we aren't dangerous psychos trying to kill peeps out on the water.

maybe the Lanier ride would have happened if there was some of this type of stuff goin on in here than all this useless bickering.

That is great solutions.... not problems...
I mess up all the time.. but always looking to expose...
I am a Cad monkey and ADD kid.... at 28.... But still try and help
our little sport... Instead of Barking Bad... Bark good and the more.
Riders not picking but standing up all over and getting exposure....

there is a lot of people that dont bark about exposure, they just do it.
Nick, Ratti, Stoyer, Tommy Nuttal, Paul, Myself and many others all
look outside the box to promote else where to total strangers to our
sport.... I have done some couch rides on my standup, just to show
how much fun they are and not hard to ride !

I like the different Positive things... From King nothing to Wavedemon...
You guys got a bunch of heads together.... and have some killer shots
of WaveRave, or just a get together... Send them in... Dont yack about
not good enough exposure..... As for the daytona spread being bigger....
Maybe if we are appreciative, it will get there.... and more exposure to
others (couches) public, will request more Standup coverage...
That is a true Compliement.... My office know gets like 3 mags in different
names just to read ther Cad monkey in the mag...

Very good thing... and Positive exposure is good....
I even went to the local Jetski Permit training class and gave some Addiction movies out of my pocket and posters and a ton of AWA sign up Panphlets and a mag or 2...
