3.5 is not bad, especially if travel to and from is split by a 2/3 days of riding. Where did you meet him? Heritage or Main Marina? Did you come down the 101 to Paso, or back door down G14?

PIA- You mean the Nazi gates? lol. Hear they now have one at the ramp too! You need to come up the lake (west) to gods country. At 247 miles, its about the same for us both, and your trip would/should be shorter by about 20-30 miles coming in the back way, with the North Shore of San Antonio closer yet.
Nazi gates is no exaggeration!! $25 to get through the gate, another $5 for some dinosaur to do a muscle inspection, then they want you to pay to launch. From the time we got to the gate, to actually getting in the water was an hour and $30. I wasn't paying the launch fee. Yes, they have a gate at the ramp now too.

Heritage is a joke, always has been and gets worse and worse with time. Lots of riff raff, crime too. Hell they have armed security! Its classic that the HOA charges the owners every 2 weeks to do inspections! Extortion. pay for this pay for that, home owners in turn get more and more privledges and freedoms taken away, and facilities and amenities are lacking and in need of serious maint. Wonderful place. Hell its cheaper, easier and safer (go figure) to just go to the public marina.
