Blaster Rick's Detailed 1100 Blaster Conversion

Ok I finally opened my Ebox and it looks quite a bit different than Ricks. Looks to be a lot less stuff inside it like the green plug and red plug. So I am a little confused at what to do now on the inside and also if the wires in this thread that Rick showed are still the same to deal with on my box. It looks like it is I just have to find them and make sure I am doing the same steps @2Chris03HD would be able to help sort this out for sure LOL. Looks like the four wires from the harness to the stop start switch are the same on my harness unless anyone see's different. I am not sure which ones inside to connect and also which ones on the inside to connect for the timing advance?

How about some info on the eBox. What was the donor ski? previously you mentioned you have an 1100. Was this eBox and motor together from the same ski? What are you trying to do now? There are three things you can do in the eBox-1) Timing advance, 2) switch plug wires for xbox re-location, 3) setup the use/ connectivity to a yamaha switch

It is an 1100. PO did not know what ski it came from. I understand changing the coil wires to switch the #1 and #3 cylinders to fit with the Rad Dudes Ebox brackets pretty straight forward. The things I need to wire now are the timing advance the S/S switch wires to Yamaha S/S switch and delete the unused portion of the harness.

Did you look at the bottom of page 11 of this build. I go through wiring in pretty good detail. Timing advance is easy. Look for the red plug and splice together the blue w red wire to the blue w white wire.

I will look for those colored wires when I get home. My box doesn't have the red and green plugs like yours did look at my pics. My guess is they are there same color just different place since those plugs are not in there.

If your plugs are different, perhaps look at the group of wires in my pics to determine the connector set. Your plugs (connector set) look all gray vs my colored ones. Are you sure you have an 1100 vs. a 900?

How did you decide where to mount the exhaust outlet? Are there measurements to follow?
Look at middle of page 9 where I explain how I drilled the hole in the firewall...

"While doing some test alignment with the motor sitting in the engine bay, I marked on the firewall where the exhaust pipe outlet was pointing

I went thru the details you provided for electrical Rick (awesome by the way thank you) and made all the changes except the S/S switch wires and I just want to make sure I understand that step before I do it. You cut the red wire with the X on it from the female side of the red plug, Do you then take one of the white wires and connect it to the red wire you just cut from the female side of the red plug and crimp them together? Or do you just leave it cut and use the red outbound wire you just cut and connect it to one of the two white wires? This is my last step then I fire this thing up ! Also I believe the rest of my four wires for the S/S switch in the picture are correct ?

MacSuper, look at the photo on page 11 of this thread. You cut one of the white wires from the green plug and connect it to the red wire (of the red plug). If you follow that red wire, it exits out the ebox (and will connect to the red wire of your yamaha start stop switch)
