Super Jet *request Anybody have a pic of a superjet with an xmetal pole with stock hood

thanks, now in that first picture, is the pole as far down as it can go? it looks like theres a breaking point due to the height of the oem hood

No it's just raised up so you can see te pole better in the picture.. The pole will go all the way down... It just sinks into the cavity of the stock hood because the pole is thinner than the stocker...

From the rear but just to show u that the pole will in fact go all the way down.

cool that makes me feel better. my friend has them on his 2 superfreaks and i have a 2010 sj so my steering sucks. im not really worried about looks atm, just want better handling then the doo doo 08+ steering lol

Sounds good. You'll definitely like the hand pole... It was a bit different at first as the pole doesn't run a spring so it's stiff and you have to literally put the pole where u want it when u ride. Thts actually become my favorite part Ab the pole. Mines coupled w the xmetal steering, turn plate and bars w the umi bearing. I can't stand to ride stock steering anymore. It's much much better.

I put a spring on 2 x metal poles 1 with stock bracket 1 with rrp you have to heat the spring end and bend it up so it runs up 1 of the holes in the pole and let the other end lock in the stock location

So um, is there no pole spring only if you use their two piece bolt set up? I would hate to not have a pole spring.. And I won't be using the xmetal bracket so I don't see why I can't use the spring and oem bolt?

I personally have never seen one with a spring. I don't think it's bad at all without the spring because I made the bolts really tight. It will stay up by itself.

I now have done 4 xmetal poles with springs. You just have to heat the spring and bend it 180 degrees so it runs up the inside of the pole it should rest against the inside of the top of the pole and the other end of the spring hooks in stock location.

Yea but then it's stiff to move? I rode a rickter with an rrp that had a tight bolt and i did not like it. Had to force it up or down. Wasn't smooth. I like them loose so they just flow up and down with your arms as you change positioning.
