Replaced flywheel and sader. Now 50% Power

Hi thank you for reading. My father broke my 2001 Yamaha suv 1200. He decided he needed to replace the sader and flywheel. He did that.

It now sounds better than ever. It no longer ideals high, but it on has approx 50% power. At one point last weekend is just stalled out as if it wasn't getting gas. Sometimes when giving gas the ski does not respond directly to the throttle. There seems to be a lag.

Any thoughts?

Is a sador "the stator" ? I Don't know anything about an SUV, if it was a kawi or a yamaha two stroke my guess would be the timing was incorrect, "misaligned stator when re-installed".

We looked into this. Stator is properly aligned and timing is right.

My father suspects theres an issue with the oil mixture or a clog in the lines. We replaced spark plugs. Two got dirty after running the ski. One seemed to have no contact w any oil.

We got it up to 7000 rpm while spraying some sort of spray into cylinder with ski on floating dock. So my father things the power issue is due to the oil pump spitting too much oil into two cylinders and a clog preventing oil getting into the other.

Our plan is to remove the oil pump and start mixing fuel/oil on our own.

Any thoughts?

Also, since we are doing all this work...do you recommend any performance upgrades for acceleration or top speed improvements?

Check your compression before going any farther. Oil lines seldom clog, they more likely fall off at the pump or carbs. Sounds like a carb issue to me...but you may also have one cylinder blown up .
