REND LAKE Sept.28-30

2 or maybe 5 for me.....Angel and Christian will be out Saturday after noon. I will be there early Saturday. We might stay I am still not sure. But I better bring a package for myself I don't know how many I can hold.

I have 4 partial bags of chips that I am bringing and I am going to talk Angel into making a batch of cookies... Plus a pound of Hot Salami... if that is enough. Maybe a pound of Pepper cheese that will go good on the Brats also.

But I took a picture out the window of my van today crossing the lake. This is the back of party cove that crosses under the interstate... Right now you will need shoes to cross under the interstate and maybe a mower. I have rode through there before and never touched bottom so I know it is low.

Heck there is an island that is straight out from the beach going to party cove that is visible that I haven't seen in maybe 15 years.

I am bringing Angles polaris. So I can make my rounds on the lake with Morgan when you guys do your trip to the beach. I am afraid of the seadoo it doesn't have any numbers so I know my luck I will get stopped....

Here is the picture.

WOW looks like we may be able to walk to party cove then it won't cost me a tank of gas.

ok, I decided on making my spinach salad with Mandarin orange sections and crumbled bacon.

It is a great salad and we enjoy it a lot.

I will be leaving around 2:30 tomorrow. Is the rest of the group going to be in campers or tents?

I usually have the night out with the wifey and little man on friday. But we might make it up there. I will be out trolling around in my work van I will stop by there tomorrow after noon to see if anybody is around. Other than that I think I will be there about 10 AM saturday. I don't know if I am staying or not but we will see. I will have the beach dolly so we can load skis in the water if we need it.

Hey Rat where are you staying? I know where Lou has the sites but I don't know where you will be?

I am in site 43 which should be right in the thick of things. I expect to get there someplace around 5...I hope the road is wide enough to back in...and no I won't try to back the ski into the camp site.....

I had considered using a tent but I wimped out in favor of comfort....

The pads are angled and maybe 100 foot long. You can easily get a big diesel pusher class a motor home into those slots. So if you can't get it in there leave the motorhome and the title (signed of course) across from the guard shack and I will be there to pick it up later. You can have my 9x9 tent as trade you can get into the slots pretty easily... LOL

Gee thanks. I don't have enough money to pay the sales tax on a DP.
I have been in places where the site is long enough but they do nice things like put the sign post close to the pad and the pinic table on the other side. This makes for a tight swing.

I normally have the co pilot stand outside with a radio to let me know when I hit something, in case I don't feel the bump.

Kidding aside, I find my motor home handles well, this will be the first trip towing the jet ski. So it will be an adventure.

You almost talked me into a swap, except that I have a nice 2 room tent already.

*smile*

[ do keep in mind I am an old geezer as well.....

okay, if that is Mark and Katie, Katie looks young enough to be my oldest daughter. Mark looks like one of my younger cousins.
Unless Mark has his AARP card he is a young en
my wife used get asked if she were my daughter... and my youngest daughter gets asked if grandpa is with her.

I may look old and feel old from time to time but I refuse to grow up...
