Its time to return to Rend, it's located in Southern Ill. Yah-ki just reported, our camp ground has NEW showers and that means indoor pluming! I need a head count to make the camp ground resv. Speed freek should be standing by then... if not Katies getting better on stabs soon to be BR's. I've se[]en 'em, I had to pick up the pace myself today.

Sounds good to me if........I'm healthy by then. Yes folks I'm on the DL. I have an infected Poratid Gland. It's the largest of the salivary glands and the whole side of my face is swollen as if I have a softball in my cheek. Doc said I may have a stone in one of the ducts obstructing saliva flow. Wierd huh? After 3 and 1/2 days of excrutiating pain, I broke down and went to urgent care. Hopefully the antibiotics will work and I won't need to be cut on. Vicodin for pain. Too bad y'all aren't around me now.....I can barely talk! (insert joke of relief here) Anyway Lou, I can't commit right now, but if I'm better I'll grab a spot. -T

ok folks, just an update...... Today I'm feelin better(finally). The swelling is starting to go down and the pain is easing a bit. Thanks for the well wishes! Our good spots are taken and I just sent Lou an email wondering what his thoughts are about moving over one street. The spots at the end of that street are still open. Personally I would rather be on the end than in the middle of the street.(closer to the water) What do ya think? -T

Glad you are feeling better.

I think the end of the road sounds just fine we are in.:bigok:

I will call Richard and get the new address that they just cleaned all the trees out so that you can access the water easier. It is right around the corner where the sandy beach was.

And nightrider05 bring the WB1 I want to ride one..... I will trade you rides on my 3 seater...LOL

I have found earlyer in the week "our" street end is taken. The end only provides large Core of enginers large rocks, not a place to place many skies. The path to the beach is in the sights that are still available. Jr for a year now has been telling me about a improved area? I dont know 'em to resv. 'em. Terry is now checking on the next street. We need the sight together so I can collect for all money spent. I now wait and see what Terry is doing so were all together.

Sounds like a plan...Since it appears that its probably going to be chilly, whats everyone plannin on packin? You guys wear any kind of cold gear for warmth?

I am a panzy when it comes to cold water so I will have my wetsuit but nothing other than a regular wet suit. The water won't be that cold it is the air that will get you. It doesn't matter I will be on a HUGE 3 seater staying dry. I might bring a radio and a cooler... Why not I won't have anything else to do.

I drove out by the camp site the other day but everything is taken. Louie got 2 sites that can hold 8 people each so that should be enough. There is another site if we want it but we would still have to use Louies site to gain water access.

Anyhow the water is so low that if we don't get some rain by that weekend you better head way out before you attempt a nose stab. The water that you can normally see from the interstate is a HUGE dry area that needs to be mowed.

yep, it's knee deep where we used to set up the buoys. If you set your stand up on the beach there, you may never get your ski to it, as it will be hitting the bottom 20-30 feet off the shore. As for riding gear(nightrider) just a wetsuit should suffice. That's IF you show up. (j/k, but you ARE 0 for 1 ) Anyone with firewood should bring it, as I am almost out. I'm still mending, but I hope to be ok by then. -T

I can take care of the firewood. Mom just had a tree dropped a month ago and it is laying in the front yard. The guy was suppose to come by and pick the wood up... well you know how that goes...

DOH..where can I get a wetsuit before the ride? This is my first year really riding so I dont have any gear whatsoever.

As for the 0 for 1 on events..all I can say is when you run your own business you never know what you are going to be doing on the weekend. I try to plan ahead for this stuff but things always seem to pop up.

http://www.denniskirk.com That is where I buy mine. They deliver pretty quick also. If you are going to buy one buy a farmer/John. It is the long legged tank top with a separate jacket. It has more versatility I don't know what size you are but there is a 2 piece set on sale for 89 but small is the largest size left.

And you might at well order a set of good gloves and boots or buy wrestling shoes to ride in. You will need those also.

If you don't mind cold water then the water might be fine. But I always take mine. Because I am a :purr:

Well....its official guys...IM ADDICTED! Rode the SJ for the first time tonight..Stood up within 10 seconds of being on it for the first time! Everyone always makes it sound like the first day you will spend on your knees...guess it could have to do with the fact I have been riding waveblasters alot this summer.

Nightrider, I was just kidding about the 0 for 1 thing. I've missed a trip or two, myself. This time of year you can find sales on wetsuits. I actually bought both of mine at Sports Authority. I have a long, and a stubby.(ok ok enough jokes about my "stubby"). Speedfreak is right about the two-piece, they are nice and you can pull the top off if you get hot. Most of us wear booties or wrestling shoes. Your feet will still get wet but they tend to stay warmer. Glad to hear that you are "addicted" now. J.R., bring whatever paperwork you have for the 300 and I will sign off on it. -T
