SX/SXi/SXi Pro removing screws that hold the pick up for the stator?

these things are a pain. Im useing a good snap on screwdriver and they will not come out. For sure locktite is on them. Is there any trick to this? I was thinking heat with either a small propane torch or even useing a solder iron and touch it to the head of the screw to heat up and loosen up that locktite. I havnt gone far enough to completely strip the heads yet. Anyone have a trick for these?

Be sure to put loctite back on it. You sure dont want them coming out unintentionally.

I use an impact driver to remove them now but i once used a impact screwdriver and it worked well. I just dont like the idea of smacking it with a hammer on my nice cases. I did find that "pre loading" the driver by twisting downward with my hand before smacking it helps and i recommend using a dead blow hammer.

I bought this one only cause my HF didnt have the air one in stock. http://www.harborfreight.com/impact-...ase-37530.html It worked like a charm. I personally dont like hammering on the stator cover of case. I put it on some wood and foam padding I had before hand, but still not the nicest way to do it. The air tool is probably best bet.

I will make sure to locktite when I put back together. Turns out I didnt really need to remove these anyways, but I learned something.
