Removing engine coupler

My dumb ass didn't get the piston past the ports the first time I tried it. It was a stock motor, but I'm sure it didn't help it any. Also not sure all that pressure lifting on the head and cyl's is all that good for it. Not to mention the stress on the bottom end, or uneven pressure on the piston in the sleeve. Kind of rocking it a little. I dunno... I worry too much lmao! CF flywheel lock is dirt cheap insurance.

Bought a 650sx to part...tried to remove the coupler and flywheel with the rope trick. Rope slipped down the past the piston and into the exhaust port and jammed pretty bad. Couldn't remove it so I just through the motor away. Been more cautious since that motor lol.

One of the best ways to twist a crank out of phase is to lock the flywheel and force a stubborn coupler off the other crank end.
When doing the stupid rope trick you of course want to stop the rear piston which is closest to the coupler to reduce crank rwist. Impact and coupler tool is the safest method especially for non welded crank pins like oem.
