I bought a Pro Tec Head used, and I wanted to do a little bright work on the top before installing it. But I don't want to damage the domes.

Before I go prying and screwing something up I figured i'd ask ya'll.
I tried to un screw them but theres not much to push on etc, so no luck.

Here is the basic design of what I have.

If ya'll arn't sure, I could call protec. But i'd rather give ya'll a chance to make fun of me LOL...

the only thing holding them in is the orings. If you need to thread a pugg in a couple turns and grab the head and tap the end of the plug on the ground. Who did you get the head from?

that's a great head. Look into kommanders stainless hardware. That protec 3 piece stud coupler and bolt can be a pita. Kommanders hardware is 2 peoce stainless and the quality is amazing

thats the only thing I would have changed about this head. You have to use the old double nut trick to get the studs in the crank case. The original bolts will work fine but it takes just a little bit longer to get everything together.

You should be able to push the domes right out of the head btw. I just kept it all together for the sake of safe shipping...
