Removing coupler from midshaft

Anyone got any tricks for removing the coupler from the midshaft?

I know the rag in a cylinder trick works great for the coupler on the crank... but thats not gonna help me with the one on the midshaft.

Some day Im going to get an extra coupler welded onto a big fat alum pipe to use as a magic torque tool for coupler removal.

bonzia bob welded an old wrench like 8 inches long to an old 1/2 inch drive socket and they come right off easily with 1/2 inch impact gun:cool2:
