FX-1 Removeing The Pump Shoe

Clear Bra is what I use for some of my dealers. Its to protect from rock chips. It should help to keep the bottom looking good. Not sure how long it will last on a jet ski. I know it holds up well on a car. It will peal off pretty easy and not leave any glue behind making it easy to redo if needed.

The Clear Bra has worked out very good so far. Bumped my ski on the bank and it protected it. If anyone would like some for their ski PM me. What I did to mine is about $7 + shipping. Its an X deal.

Its either the extra hp or my glass work for stress crack that is starting to show. Whatever the case I came up with this. Got some Alum roll stock from Lowe's and made a cross brace. I'm going to look at a mill lathe combo tomorrow. I know it has room for improvement but I think its good start so far. This has always been a week point on the FX-1.

Been Playing with photo shop on the last pix, I need help from a real artist!

Glad I took the pump out. The shaft was not all the way back when I set the motor to pump the first time.

Going to try it out in the morning.

Looks like you figured out the spacer!

Yup! I had to use the stock o-ring. The one that came with the cone was to big.

Went back to the stock scoop grate. Works much mo better for my type of riding. The R&D hooked up way to much for me so its for sale. $75 shipped. Sold!

Worked on jetting this weekend. Still not right. Very lean on top and rich on bottom. I'm at 117.5 p/j 2 1/2 turns 160 m/j 3 turns 12 pis pop off 2.5 n/s. Its has a lean hesitation just off bottom and going to wot after coming off wot. Think I will try reverse jetting next weekend.
