That's the basic set up that everyone has on this site

I don't think mild porting takes little if any longevity away. People have been running that set up for years with no porblems, just maintain it

FWIW. I got 7 yrs of rec riding out of a 701 that was build up for closed course racing and I have no idea how many hours were on the ski when I bought it. Over the years that ski proved to be the most modded and one of the lowest maintenance skis in my fleet. Still is actually

Good luck with your new hobby/addiction. Once you start modding it snowballs pretty fast.

who did, or is doing, the port work on your cylinder? Mild port or race porting? What kind of compresion is the 37cc domes in the Shark Fab head rated at? Depending on the port work you may even consider going to 35cc domes...

also, once you add a pipe (plus the higher compresion etc) you will be hitting the rev limiter. You will want to either send your stock CDI to pro-tec to be modded or go with an after market CDI (MSD enhancer). otherwise you will be turn more RMPs than the rev limiter will allow.

It's all in the tune. You can blow up a stock engine very quickly with a poor tune. Get your A/F mixture right and an engine with those basic mods will serve you well.

run synthetic 40 or 35-1 i blew mine up a few months ago had been running it lean with yamalube 50-1 on a high speed run. costs 800+ for new top end. kinda sucks but wear item i guess. mixture both oil gas and tuning is huge.
