Reinstall old tray or lay new tray?

So i had to cut in to my sxi pro, And about to refom. My questions as i get ready to put it back together in the next couple of weeks is should i use the tray i cut out and reinstall it? and if so any tips on how to do it? or should lay an new tray?? The tray section is in pretty good shape but on corer that broke off due to glue from the tube inside.

Reuse it. Grind a 4 inch swath around all the cut areas down to the glass on the piece and the tray still attached. Fill all gaps with thickened epoxy resin and lay a layer of biax glass on all the ground down areas.

Ok so I reinstalled the old tray, and reinforced the tray by 3 layers of 17oz on top, now my next question is, do I need to prime and paint it? Or do I install the mats right over?

Sand, prep surfaces of dust and oils with acidtone, glue turf, no paints

Rebuilding the tray is an option but it would be a ton more work for no real benefit.

Did you add back foam?

Yes I added foam back.
