Reinforcement Questions

Just want to make sure I'm ordering the right products.
Looking to reinforce the hull sides, bottom and pole bracket. 100% of riding will be flat water. Going to try rolls this year and want my ski to stay in one piece.
Is reinforcing the nose necessary for flatwater?
Plan on ordering 3 yards of 1708 17oz biaxial (want to have more than enough just in case)
First fill the bond line with epoxy mixed with filler
Then 1 4in 1708 strip along the bond line (Should this step be skipped?)
Then 1 full width layer of biaxial. How far forward should I reinforce in the ski?
What type of epoxy resin is recommended I see 150 and 635 from uscomposites.com not sure on the difference?
Planning on ordering a gallon of resin with 1/2 gallon hardener
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Its only 50* up here so I will need 4:1.
How far forward do I reinforce since I'm not going to do the nose? Or should I do the nose while I have all the supplies

Edit: What do I use as a filler to mix with the epoxy when I fill the bond line?

micro ballons mixed up in the epoxy resin. mix it thick like peanut butter. make sure its thick. if not it runs and puddles up and a real pain in the butt.

I like to fill the bondline with 5200. You don't need muccch. Just enough to make a smooth transition.for flatwater 12 oz biax should be fine. I always reinforce the nose and tie it into the pole bracket area. The pole bracket area is really important to beef up. I do about 4 layers there.2 yards will be way more than enough.i believe 4.5 feet by like 2 feet will do the sides. Get an old towel or sheet, put up against the sides of the engine compartment, trace around the edges then cut it out as four pattern. I add little 4 inch "wings" to tie into the bracket area

I’m going to stick with the micoballons because it’s supposed to be a lot lighter then 5200.
I like your reinforcement plan I will definitely give that a try.
Now I just need to know the size of microballons to order?
Thanks for all the help!
