Check your battery voltage it should be around 12.7 to 12.8 volts fully charged.

Then check the voltage while the ski is running and it should be higher then the battery voltage. :thinkerg:

The charging voltage on a superjet according to the manual should be between 14.3 to 15.3 volts.

This forum sucks, half an hour using the useless search function the only thread on "testing a rectifier regulator" is one asked by my neighbour and it ISNT EVEN ANSWERED! Useless.

Can anyone give any tips on how to test a rectifier/regulator. An X2 one in particular but im guessing they're all pretty similar.

Otherwise anyone know a forum where you can find useful information?
Thanks

PWCToday:

"charging coil yellow to yellow should be 1.5 - 2.3 ohm"
--Yep, 1.7ohm thats fine!

"charging coil yellow to black should be 0.7 - 1.3 ohm"
--Yep, 0.7ohm thats fine!

"exciter coil black/red to black/yellow should be 250 -380 ohm"
--Between the black/red and black/yellow comming from the ignition coil i get an increasing resistance for 20Mohm+ :S

"ign coil secondary should be 2.1 - 3.1 K/ohm (spark plug lead to spark plug lead)"
--If I shove a lead in each sparkplug boot, I get 0Ohm as an open circuit :S

That process still doesnt test the rectifier/regulator.
