Hillsdale for sure. Celina is a good race, and im sure stoyer will show up there too and some others as usual.

I ride every weekend and weeknights with groups of friends too, and I race. I understand not wanting to pay, just asking that people try it. I hate the fact that at races I get as much riding in a whole race weekend as I do before lunch on saturday at my place when I ride. I will put more hours on my ski than most people on this site in one summer, guaranteed.

whats the incentive?

It's fun....win or lose. I hear people say that all the time. "why pay to ride for 2 minutes when i ride all day for free"....its nto exactly the same....your not getting 2 minutes to just ride...your doing a routine, your pumped, its a rush, friendly competetion, the drive to get even better, riding for a crowd no matter your skill level.

NOTHING! Even my first race was as fun as freestyle. Nothing will make your heart beat when everyone stops scurring around like they do when racers are out and gather in one stop to watch YOU.......

Its just too much fun......not with 1 or 2 people..but when you got a minimum 4 to cancel out easy 3 place its just that much better

No he will not!
Hillsdale is a nice site, just very shallow. Seems like most every race site in R6 is shallow except for the Bay City nasty ship channel place.

But like Wasteland said, it is good times. It's not cut-throat like some people think, most times it's all about hanging out, getting better, showing off, etc. And that 2 minutes stuff is crap, I don't think I ever only rode for 2 minutes at a competition. You can spend all the time you want before and after riding with the same guys........and that's when you learn new tricks and get new ideas :woot:

I miss R6, maybe all you guys should come to Texas! I'm the only one here that still competes, except for when I can get Kaveman to come out

And Ice, i think that isnt a bad idea- Ill talk to some locals and see what they think about signing up for Either the Hillsdale Race, or another close one- any venues you recommend?

Marsh,
you get some people in your area to compete and i'll make sure to come up there.

I am so excited to compete in R6! I love to compete and think that our sport is on the rise. The tricks are bigger and there are lots of young riders coming up the ranks. The best part of Freestyle is all the great people you meet along the way. Anyone who has the guts to go out and try hair raising move in front of judge on a jet ski is always someone I will like. I just love to ride jet skies and competing just makes it more fun. I would encourage every one who is passionate about jet skiing to come on out and give it a try. You will be hooked and have a lot of fun.

You guys should check out the Harbor Beach race. Regional, National, and Can-Am Cup will be there all in one weekend!!!

This isn't even mentioning that the whole town gets into it and has a festival around us! Seriously, SERIOUSLY good times. That's in the middle of July (I think), and I'll be there. That should seal the deal right there

I dout they will do the class 1 and class 2 thing at reginals....just not enough peeps.....prolly have AM then PRO and then have the classes at nationals and WF

I would think that they would have to........in order to be elgiable to compete at nationals you have to participate in at least 1 other regional event. No AM class 2 in regionals means no AM guy w/ a aftermarket hull will be elgiable at nationals.

Says you have to compete in one R event but seeing how we wont have enough to fill classes, it would be pointless to show up and pay $50 to do nothing. They'll prolly just accept it until they have more competitors

Rat, glad to see some more KY people coming to the events. I don't do justice for the state with racing, but got us covered on the partying.

There is a rule for Nationals and WF. Not sure on the exact details. If your class is not offered in your region, there is some rule about being able to compete in that class for Nationals and WF. I would say that if you just competed in the Amatuer class, you could compete in any for Nationals and WF. Take the Canadians, they do not have a region in Canada, so they are already qualified for WF. Lots come to R6 anyhow. You can always send an E-mail to Pat for clarification. He is pretty quick to respond and very flexible in this type of exceptions.
