Super Jet Reenforcing Question... I looked I promise!

I looked but couldn't find the answer. I want to remove all the paint from the inside of the hull before I lay the glass down? I've gotten all the excess glue out and almost all the paint, but could do a little more I guess, it's almost all out. I have used a combo of stones, wire wheels, and the paint stripper disk sponge looking thing.

Also, do people usually enforce the bottom of the hull? I think it's already thick enough as it is IMO.

Maybe getting the glass in tonight!! :woot:

So what is your question, besides the bottom?

Most do not reinforce the bottom. The sides, especially near the front of the hood, just inside the hood cutout, and the nose (if you ride surf) are the major areas people do.

No need to remove paint, just scuff it up good before laying your glass;...........

What materials/mat are you using?

I reinforced the bottom of my ski, as well as a few others I have done. The only reason i did though, was because the skis I was reinforcing were old square's and we had to sand/grind a good bit of material off the inside of the bottom to get down to good dry and non-stained glass.
