First off.. Ada head with 185 compression. Riva red pipe. Group k bored carbs. 145 HSJ 1 /1/2 HS screw, lSJ 100 and LS screw 1turn.(idles perfect until today) I was running Boyensen RAD valves . I would get a season or two tops with those. Lasti time I put in Jetworks reeds on the boyensen valve cause they are suppose to last longer. My third ride out today and I am engine dies out after running fine.. Barely get it started and idle back to shore barely. it wont maintain idle without giving it gas and keeping RPMs at least 2200. I richen up the low speed screw back to 1 turn and richen up high speed screw 1/2 turn thinking I am lean. Idle is crap. I go to 1 1/4 out on low speed screw. Still can barely get it going. I pump the throttle to get it going to plane and from plane upward it rides great. I did noticed that I get higher rpms at around 7/8 throttle than full throttle. (not sure if that means high speed to lean or too rich) So I am thinking plugs are fouled. I get home and change them. Still idles like crap on trailer. The times before when it did this, the reeds were chipped, so I think that happened again. I will find out when I take it apart. So I am either going to go with v force reeds or stock.. What do you guys think?
