Reed cage seal

I put my single carb back on my 61x and I ran like #**# .Found I had one of the reed seals folded in 1/2 .I think this was the problem . It will idle now . Anyone had this happen ?? :banghead:

Do you need that seal .. will this make it run like their is an air leak ?

Can you take some pics of the reed seal? Not sure what exactly your talking about.

I allready put it back together.. The gasket inbetween cage and the plate it bolts to ..

it wont give you a lean condition like a leak, but it might behave like a reed that isn't sealing.

i have to run it this weekend and find out its the only thing I found out of place..
