300/440/550 Rear side exhaust on X2

Location

I was thinking of putting a rear side exhaust on my X2 but the hull shape at the back of the ski doesnt really make this easy. HAs anyone had there exhaust exit into the cavity where the pump sits?

You could probably do it with one of these.

putting it in the pump/ridplate cavity is no problem. Were you saying to use the piece you posted to help put it on the outside of the hull like i originally wnated to do?

yep you can put the exhaust out into the pump cavity , a frient off mine has this done on his ski . one problem i have noticed with rear exhausts on x2s as when the ski is sitting in the water they get a real good lean to the side that the exhust is on . the exhust fills up with water becuse you cant get the exhust tube high enough to stop it filling with water like you can with a pole ski

Selling all X2 and 650 parts - message me!
I have a friend of mine who did rear exhaust on his 750 X2. Exit went into the pump cavity - nice installation, but could only get about 4500 rpm's out of the engine - tried everything - flywheel, timing, pipe, carb, then he went back to stock exit on exhaust gasses and we'll see how it is in a few weeks. Gorilla, wouldnt a front exhaust always be louder then a rear exhaust.

Prof. Thanks for teh info. I dont see how the RPM's would be affected unless something on the installation wasnt right.
