im doin an 800 conversion and need to put a rear exhaust in my shortned hull the thing is its foamed already and wanna get some input on this.if i run a tube out the back where it normaly would come out but my hull is 2 1/2 inches shorter if i have the back diggin in deep like going to do a backflip on flatwater will that exhaust cause and issues as far as keeping the pump from hooking up.i know i can do rear side exhaust if i need to but id have to dig that foam i just put in out. It would be much easier to just run a tube up thrue the back into the firewall.
thanks

Having the hull 2-1/2" shorter shouldn't cause a problem with the rear exhaust tube unless the back of the hull is cut on an angle.

I have a stock rear aluminum exhaust tube if you're looking for one.

the back of the hull is cut on an angle on that back shoul i exit it out the side?

just some idea's would be to dig it out like you would for a scupper out the back...then find a tube and some end like one blowsion makes or something cut the pipe to the angle and install like a scupper

You should still be able to exit at the rear but you're going have to fabricate a custom exhaust tube or modify the OEM aluminum tube with the same angle as on the hull.

You can't easily run it out the very rear because the flange on the exhaust tube isn't angled, while your hull now is.

i can cut and weld so ill be able to get the flange right im just worried about it interfearing with keeping the pumped hooked up

cause i noticed a huge difference last year on my old boat doin tail stands was so much eaiser with a front exhaust.and that was at low rpm i figure that with the rpms up and the rear diggin in and nose up for a backflip their mite be some effect im just checkin before i go about doin this

As long as you don't have any huge weird angle on the flange creating drag i don't see any problem with it at all. You could run both front and rear and not worry about tail stands as well..
