Ok guys, since this obviously seems to be the place where most ppl know their $hit, i got a few questions.

first off....exhaust. Im leaning more towards a Pro-tech exhaust. Ive talked to a few guys and they told me that pro-tech is a very reliable exhaust system that doesnt require alot of messing with. Does this see reasonable or are these guys blowin smoke.

Footholds...what seems to be the best holds out there and how much am i lookin at for everything....holds, glue, mats. I keep hearing more and more things i need to buy for the install.

and finally whats the best bang for the buck. Ive spent years racing atvs and dirtbikes. So im no dummy with those things, but this is a differant world. Are reeds, stuffers, and filters really worth the money?

I already got my impellar....solas concord 13/17 and worx dominator ride plate, and im waiting for my intake grate to come in. Is the intake grate going to rob anymore power?

Any help would be GREAT! And im glad to be hooked up on a site that ppl actually know what they are talking about!!

I take it you have a superjet? IF it has the 701 motor get a B-pipe :woot: .

As for footholds there will be lots of diffrent opinions so get whatever you think will work best. They range from like $100 to $200. I dont know specificly(sp?) what you need for the install of those but theres plenty of websites with it. For turf just call hydro-turf and get a big sheet of what ever color you want and some contact cement and turf away.:Banane01: :Banane01:

O, and for the exauhst i dont know what to do there.

Factory Mod B-pipe, ADA high compression girdled head, MSD enhancer, and some Carbon fiber reeds. Down the road have it ported. You will be amazed at what a pipe and head will do to that thing! Then just get out there and ride ride ride!!!!!!!

Everyone has there own opinion on foot holds, maybe someone can give you a good answer on what they like.

everyone is going to tell you to get the Factory Pipe "B" pipe or exhaust. your only choice is limited or mod. limited is supposed to be more low end but it seems with a built motor mod can be better all around.

surprised no one has mentioned this yet...but...if you are planning to ride more freestyle/freeride than stick with the stock plate. The Worx dominator plate is a good race plate but it keeps the nose stuck to the water. If your looking to do tricks than you want the nose up and back end loose, it makes tossing the ski around easier.

Unless you want to carve it up than ignore what I just said, but I figure thats not what you want since you want fotholds too.

Any exhaust is better than stock but do yuorself a favour and buy a b pipe now. If you don't now you will definately later. May as well spend the money once and spend it properly.

damn, well looks like i def. need the factory B pipe. For some reason with this new ride plate, i can whip the a$$ around alot easier then with the stocker, it wants to slide more. But maybe ill check back with the stocker now that im getting a little better on the ski. But THANKS ALOT guys, you def. have swayed me to the B pipe and pointed me in the right direction.

Oh and the impeller is just a 13/17 stock concord. and i got it free from MIllers Yamaha when i bought my ski because there was a tiny scratch in the hull, so they asked me what i wanted and they gave me the impeller and $100 on top of that also:biggrin:

ok, i have always had b pipes i know they have a cult following and used ones sell for almost as much as new. which is ok with me since i sold a couple this year. but now i'm running an old riva red pipe and there is no coupler to blow that sucks to replace when your on the water, and can really ruin your day. no adjustment screws to lock up. i mean we all know that allen design sucks. and i have awesome bottom end. sorry but i'm fighting the power and saying the factory pipe is overrated.

not saying anyone that has posted isnt right. you will get alot advise from people thats not correct info on this forum. i dont claim to be an expert or no where close. i see so many people giving false info or advise they read and not tried. you got guys on 650s s giving 701 porting info wtf? total loss info from guys thats never ran it.repair advise from people thats never used resin or glass. ect, ect the best advise i can give is call a reputable engine builder that tells you how to set up your ski for your riding style. use who you want and dont get stuck on one person call a few shops.feel out the builder.and listen exactly what THEY tell you. you cant complain if you only do half of what they have advised you. there are alot of people that has usefull info just not everyone .and it hard to differ the two if your new. good luck.

Their is a guy around me that pointed me in the direction of the pro-tech just for the simple fact thats its basically hassle free compared to the factory pipe. He is very well known in the area for riding plus he is the owner of an off-road shop. Basically im a beginner on stand-ups, and i just want to have a good enough ski to start on and eventually be able to bust some tricks. Im still on the level of trying to do 360s without falling. Im getting much better, but just want a little more horsepower to bust tricks easier. I understand the whole calling and talking to engine builders, i raced ATVs at the national level for a few years, so looking into the best options is something im very used to. I am just looking for a few pointers in the right direction. and you guys have definately helped me with that.
