Super Jet Re-Jetting carb for b pipe

I recently purchased a limited bpipe for my mostly stock 94 701 SN. I got a few other things with the ski but have heard that you need to rejet your carb if you buy a bpipe. Im assuming this is true? Is this easy to do? Does anyone have a thread on how to do it yourself? Or does this need to be sent off? Thanks for the help. Ive never done this before and this is my first SJ

I bought my jet & spring kit from Jetmaniac for my 95 sn. He gives you a sheet with the recommended mixture screw turns, etc. as well.

Yes, it is super easy. Even though the specs call for the stock needle and seat, buy a new one anyway. The one in there now is probably 20 years old. Just take your time and you can rejet it yourself in less than 30 minutes.

As noted above change out that needle and seat. When I put a bpipe on my b1 I had to go to a 2.5 n&s.
Absolutely not needed!

Even on our 1100 CC motors we don't run 2.5s. Full Specs are shipped with 1.8s for 1100s. The stock needle and seat is fine for most applications, when installed and tuned properly. Running larger needle and seats than needed allows a greater chance of leakage at the needle, and thus a muddy or inconsistent bottom to mid.

That said, a change to an aftermarket flame arrestor will require a substantially lower popoff, which can be achieved with a lighter spring, or a larger needle and seat with the same spring. Always popoff test carbs when testing to assure best results.

Does anyone know the specs from a stock mikuni 44? Or do I just need to get a new jets no matter what? B Pipe suggested:

Main Jet : 145
Pilot Jet : 120
High speed screw : 12 turns out from closed
Low speed screw : 2 2 turns out from closed
Needle & Seat : Stock
Spring : 95 gram

Does that mean I need a new main jet, pilot jet, and spring?

It has an Ocean Pro Vortex FA....

any other mods that might change it?

Cylinder porting will change the jetting as well. I've tried every a/m flame arrestor out there and honestly a stocker works best. Just run one screen and instal a primer kit and you will be set. I'm running a b pipe with stock f/a and have the FP recommended jetting and it's spot on.

So i should buy a new main jet, pilot jet, and spring? or are those the stock specs?

You need to pull it apart and check. I'd never modify an engine and assume what's in it is right, especially one that's 19 years old. You should probably rebuild it as well the soft parts are likely done at this point. As you add power, engines become far less forgiving of less than ideal components.

Right. Your carb internals are 20 years old. If it were me I would order everything new. I believe a stock spring is 115gm so you will need a 95gm as per the FP specs.
