Hey, whatcha think this is made of? I guessed stainless because of the bluing from heat around the holes drilled in the block off plate and weld. Its not specific in the description what its made of....

its stainless i would assume a 304 or 316

What makes you guess 304 or 316? What are the tell tale signs?

Yes i did, and he is super nice.

When i originally bought this rear exhaust I assumed it was stainless because of the pic but it was aluminum when i received it. At first I was a little upset just because the picture was misleading but after speaking to Mark i was assured that aluminum was choice because the ss was 3x the weight. He was very nice and offered to exchange them for the stainless. I decided to keep the aluminum and the intent of this post is just so ya know. Good quality part and clean weld.

The one in the pic is Stainless unless my computer screen is way messed up. Glad you're happy, I've been satisfied with all my purchases from them.

Yes we original did them in stainless and had people complain about the weight. Stainless is 3x the weight of alum also 3x the strength. We still have a few in stock but we switch to just selling alum because people wanted it. Site never got changes. But as you can see it's the same quality welds and part just in alum.

Already talked to out website guy to update the pic.
And add in the description that's it's alum but we can make in stainless if wanted.
All the block off plates are stainless

Just block off the stock spot and run this up the left side of the boat so now this comes up to the bulkhead where the stock one came out.
