R@D intake manifold install

I forgot!
i got a used r@d 62t intake manifold today that was opened up for 48's. I ran a single 48 powerbomb last season and was thinking of getting another single to make a nice dual 48 setup. Looks like i will have to shorten the butterfly valve shaft a bit for the carbs to fit, is this a normal mod for running duals? any thing else i will need besides the coupler and tap the cases? Also got a spacer plate and wondered if i could use 1211 to seal cases/spacer/intake sandwich :fingersx: or if i should use two gaskets. :rolleyes:

Yes you cut the shaft on the slave carb (no throttle cable) to install the coupler, and yes use 2 gaskets.

One thing to check is to make sure you get an identical carb. Sometimes changes are made such as with the Buckshot billet carbs so an early one may not be the same as a later one.

really? great, not sure how to make sure of that but my powerbomb was new last winter from Blowsion so maybe i will just get the other one from them and see what they say about it.
